Taylor Made Designs has seen a 280% increase in sales of its premium vacuum-insulated water bottles this year … and it’s not all to do with the sunny weather.
A growing number of theme parks, zoos and attractions are stocking TMD's bottles in their gift shops. A premium product with a strong profit margin, these bottles can be ordered in small quantities and produced in a matter of days.
“Our insulated steel bottles are durable and lightweight. They also look incredible after they have been branded on our 360° lathe printer,” says Ed Taylor, MD of Taylor Made Designs. “These bottles are also sustainable, and that’s something consumers are really responding to at the moment.”
Originally a premium product reserved for top-end luxury giveaways, TMD’s long-lasting water bottles can keep drinks hot or cold for hours. Bottles are stocked and branded in-house at Taylor Made Designs HQ in Christchurch, UK. This gives TMD the freedom to offer speedy turnaround times and low minimum order quantities.
“Sales have just about tripled in the past three months,” says Ed, “but year-on-year, we’re seeing a massive surge in demand for this style of drinkware. People love a strong, slim, well-insulated bottle. It looks beautiful when it’s branded and drinks stay ice-cold for ages. It makes a great retail product.”
“It’s great for gift shops. It’s a high-margin, long-lasting item that people can enjoy and use for years. It’s fundamentally a superior product. This is the best way for us all to move away from single-use plastics. We need to offer our customers something that is genuinely better. With insulated steel, the client makes a better margin, and the customer gets a better bottle … it’s a win-win!”
TMD offer two vacuum-insulated bottles. The TIDE is a 600ml rubber-coated bottle with a silicone carry ring. The POD bottle holds 500ml. Both are available in a range of finishes, with leak resistant screw caps, and both can be printed with a 360° wraparound print.
