Award-winning Newquay Zoo was started in 1968 by the local authority and is the largest zoo in Cornwall. It became part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust in 2003. Home to many endangered species, the Zoo participates in a range of managed breeding programmes and overseas conservation projects. Set in sub-tropical gardens, Newquay is an intimate and family-friendly collection.
