Carnivore Ranger

We have some exciting developments happening at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park. With our carnivore section growing and new species arriving, we are looking to expand our dedicated team. This is an incredible time to join us and be part of a dynamic and evolving collection.

As a Carnivore Ranger, you will be directly involved in the care, management, and development of our carnivore species. This includes carrying out all aspects of daily husbandry and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare at all times. You will deliver engaging talks and experiences that connect our visitors with these incredible animals and highlight the vital conservation work we do.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily husbandry and welfare care for carnivore species

• Preparing and delivering diets, enrichment, and training programmes

• Monitoring animal health and behaviour, and keeping accurate records

• Assisting with enclosure maintenance and section development

• Delivering public talks, experiences, and encounters to inspire and educate visitors

• Working as part of a team to continue the development of the carnivore section

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience working with large carnivores in a zoological or wildlife park setting

• Is committed to maintaining high welfare standards and best practice husbandry

• Is confident engaging with the public through talks and experiences

• Works well in a team but can also use initiative

• Has good organisational and record-keeping skills

• Is physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
