Sharks: they're diverse, wide-ranging, exploited, feared, and loved. BIAZA's shark awareness week aims to put these incredible species into the spotlight; from the oceanic giants to the overlooked denizens of our native waters. We want the oceans of the future to be teeming with biodiverse and ecologically-essential sharks.
To celebrate shark awareness week (6-13 July) we'll be requesting our aquariums and other members with sharks to submit an individual for a friendly vote. Honourary rays will also be welcome! Submissions are open now with the deadline of 5 June.
